Orthodontics

Distinctive dysgnathia – faulty positioning of the teeth – requires orthodontic treatment. For children and young people, it is advantageous to coordinate the treatment with the growth potential of the facial skull, in order to connect the corrective process of the treatment with the synergy of the natural growth process.

For this purpose, removable orthodontic braces, adhesive connections with brackets attached to the teeth, and guide wires (multi-band treatment) are used to move the teeth into new positions in the jawbone.

Adults, too, can have faulty tooth positions corrected. Lingual technology and the invisalign system provide the possibility of relatively invisible orthodontic treatment.

Our office does not provide orthodontic treatment in-house; rather, we ascertain the need for such treatment and refer patients to competent providers.
